UNSW IASB operational principles
-
UNSW respects the hospital operating environment and seeks to minimise impacts of IASB activities and arrangements on the requirements of a functioning hospital.
-
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all individuals present within the University spaces, including students, faculty, staff, patients and healthcare professionals.
-
Encourage collaboration and foster an interdisciplinary approach to teaching and research within the hospital setting. Facilitate interactions and knowledge-sharing between medical professionals, researchers and students from various disciplines.
-
UNSW will consider space requests from SESLHD and other health partners in line with operational principles. Requests are prioritised to ensure UNSW meets its program commitments.
-
UNSW and SESLHD will consider, where reasonable, collaborative activities and research that support these goals. This will leverage existing successful partnerships to ensure a seamless experience for staff and students.
-
Recognise that the activities of the IASB will evolve and transition over time in line with the changing needs of health.
-
UNSW will keep the patient at the centre of all activities within university spaces. We encourage students and researchers to consider the patient's perspective, needs and experiences when developing teaching methods, conducting research and implementing innovative healthcare practices.
