Presently engaged as a Project Officer at the UNSW Global Water Institute, Genevieve (“Ginger”) supports the delivery of international water projects and day-to-day operations of the institute. Her role includes coordinating project activities, managing stakeholder engagement, and overseeing financial, administrative, and reporting processes to ensure effective implementation. She works closely with academic and international partners to support collaboration and compliance across programs.
In addition, Ginger works as a Project Officer with the Water Unit in the Environmental Health Branch at NSW Health, supporting initiatives related to water quality, public health, and regulatory oversight.
Prior to her current roles, Ginger served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the National University of Singapore, specialising in water quality monitoring and quantitative microbial risk assessment. She contributed to research projects totalling $3.3M and supported the planning and coordination of wastewater infrastructure projects valued at $55M, including the World Bank-funded Manila Third Sewerage Project.
