UNSW Library building on the Kensington Campus

We support researchers across the full grant and contract lifecycle.

The Research Strategy Office (RSO) works closely with researchers pre-application to identify funding opportunities and provide strategic support for the development of funding applications, collaborations and partnerships.

Research Grants & Contracts (RGC) links researchers to executive and funding agencies (ARC, NHMRC, MRFF), philanthropic grant funders, and industry partners. This office works closley with researchers throughout the project lifespan to oversee negotiation and administration of research awards, contracts and consulting research.

NIH Financial Conflict of Interest Policy (FCOI)

As an institution receiving or applying for NIH funding (either as the lead institution or a sub-recipient), UNSW is required to comply with the NIH Financial Conflict of Interest (FCOI) policy. As part of this policy, we have a number of responsibilities that include informing all Investigators of both NIH and UNSW internal policies governing FCOI, ensuring all Investigators complete the NIH training model regarding the NIH FCOI Policy, and managing, reducing and reporting any Investigator’s Significant Financial Interests.

If you are intending to apply for NIH funding, you must review the Public Health Service/National Institute of Health Awards Financial Conflict of Interest (FCOI) Procedure and complete the required NIH FCOI training outlined in the procedure. Please also review the below policies.
