Congratulations to Sadia Khaja for being awarded the Term 2 2025 Humanitarian Engineering Honours Research Thesis Award. Sadia worked with the Dharriwaa Elders Group (DEG) and others to examine the experiences of First Nations people and drinking water systems, and her research has already been valuable to the DEG in its advocacy efforts. Sadia was supervised by long-term Yuwaya Ngarra-li collaborators Greg Leslie and Martin Andersen. Her thesis was recognised for its quality, humanitarian context and societal impact.
