My research interests lie at the intersection of political economy, international relations, development studies, and area studies. My doctoral research looks at China’s economic engagement in Southeast Asia, particularly in relation to the energy transition and interactions between state and non-state actors. I am also interested in broader issues concerning Southeast Asia and Asia-Pacific security.

Prior to this, I worked as a consultant at the UNESCO Regional Office in Bangkok, where I supported the implementation of a regional cooperative programme on equitable education in Southeast Asia. I contributed to the Asia-Europe Science & Technology Diplomacy Initiative at the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) in Singapore as a country informant.

I have some experience as an industrial research mentor at a university, as well as in the investment promotion and cooperation department of a government agency, the private sector, and an international non-profit organization.
