The UNSW School Mathematics Competition is open to participation by secondary school students in NSW and the ACT. It's run in two divisions: Junior, up to and including Year 10; and Senior, Years 11 and 12. The competition is designed to assess mathematical insight and ingenuity rather than efficiency in tackling routine examples.

It’s a creative and powerful tool that unlocks innovation and understanding. We're passionate about maths and its capacity to change the world for the better. Each year, we share this passion at this event designed for young women in high school (predominantly years 10-11) with demonstrative capacity, talent, and interest in mathematics.
