Who are we?

Launched in February 2026, we are the first AIS Student Chapter in Australia! Sponsored by the School of Information Systems and Technology Management (SISTM) at UNSW Business school, our mission is to promote the study and utilization of information systems through professional development, social networking, and community building!

Our goals for you

  • Encourage the pursuit of information systems excellence right here at the University.
  • Offer helpful career and technology info to our members.
  • Provide networking opportunities to those interested in info systems.

  • We marked our official launch hosting a PhD Development Day on February 12, 2026. Our kick-off event brought together our amazing PhD community from UNSW and University of Sydney, along with distinguished academics from Australia and internationally.

    "Pitching Your Research" workshop  Facilitated by A/Prof. Sam Kirshner, provided students fantastic tools to share their research with confidence. The students also got a great chance to practice with personalized mock interview sessions!
